Systems Advocacy

Sometimes the "system" that means to assist families make wrong or unpopular changes and decisions that will impact negatively upon the families and the developmentally disabled who live at home.

Agencies such as FAC, together with families, need to plan an advocacy approach that will result in having those with the power to change things, rethink their plan. Constructive advocacy can prove beneficial to all.
