Who Qualifies for Our Services

What is a developmental disability?

Developmental disability means a disability of a person that:

Is attributable to mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, neurological impairment, familial dysautonomia, or autism.
    *  Is attributable to any other condition closely related to mental retardation resulting in a similar impairment of general intellectual functioning or adaptive behavior.
    *  Constitutes a substantial handicap to a person's ability to function normally in society.
    * Originates before age twenty-two.

FAC has highly knowledgeable Educational Advocates who specialize in educational advocacy. Our advocates assist parents understanding IDEA, Section 504, and IEP development and implementation. We attend CSE meetings with you and advocate for your child to receive the most appropriate educational program that is tailored to their individual needs.

Are you looking for supports and services for your child or family member?

Family Advocacy Center has skilled Medicaid Service Coordinators who can assist in accessing many services and opportunities for your family member. Some of the services available are:
